About Wetbird Productions

A former news anchor/reporter at NBC affiliates in Washington, NC, and Richmond, VA, Brenda began her broadcast career working for Jefferson Pilot Teleproductions as one of the first female sports reporters in the Southeast. In 2000, she founded WetBird Productions and has since produced two Emmy award-winning documentaries: Thank You, Eddie Hart and Marching Once More. She has also produced documentaries for UNCTV including Gold Fever and The Bechtler Mint, and the Emmy-nominated North Carolina’s World War II Experience and Sing Behind the Plow.

Brenda is a graduate of Meredith College and holds an MS from East Carolina University where she was named one of 100 Incredible ECU Women in 2007. She also taught elementary school, served as the first civilian Media Liaison of the Richmond, VA, Police Department, and has written a children's book, Sam Finds a Friend. Brenda feels her wide variety of life “adventures” has served her well.
